So it's been a very long time since I touched dA; online college's been keeping fairly busy, though at the same time I've been having lots of fun with it too. Lots of reading, but hey I'm not complaining at all since it's a lot better than reading and writing, the comprehensive testing is fairly easy too, not to mention that it allows you to go back to your books and reread some of the things you've missed. So, after that there's the photo assignment, and it tells you what to specifically take a picture of, that there's the easiest part in my opinion, because I love going out and taking pictures.
Did I forget to mention too that I am a student at the, New York Institute of Photography? Now you know. As it is now January, Christmas was lovely; had a small family dinner, everyone was quite social too, so there's a plus, and I got to unwrap some cool gifts. Surprisingly, a lot of my gifts were rather big
gifts, got myself a 400 watt microphone speaker that I can plug my iPad in the back, it's really loud too because I tried it last night. What's pretty cool is when I sang a few songs, I definitely sounded like the vocalist from Metallica, so I was pretty tickled pink until dad came along and told me to turn it off. Party pooper. =w= Back to the gifts; my mom got me a few more guitar stands, so I was able to hang all six of my guitars, although she missed one, because now I have seven of 'em. |D But it was good enough, anyways my next one was the 2013 Metallica calendar, it was cool after I looked at all the pics, so that was worth having because now I have it hanging on the wall next to me. :> Buddha Board! If any of you have looked and tried out the Buddha board, yes I got that for Christmas too, a small one as well! What it does is when you grab the paint brush and dab it in water, don't smear it in paint though, and doodle it on the board, you'll see what I'm talking about.
Anyways it's a cool gift, and I love it. Although I would love to blabber on what else I got, but moving on~
Guitar playing's coming along very well, learning more and more riffs by ear, and it's all been coming along smoothly. Sometime last month I got myself a new 8 string Ibanez guitar, costed only over $400, considering online it was definitely over $2,000, so I saved an arm there. owO Mom's got me a new guitar plug in, because my other two were wearing out, so she saved my musical life there, it's heck of a lot longer, and has been told that it is suppose to last a year; so far, it is working very well.
Other than that, I'm still learning more riffs by ear, even by the most complicated tuning, it is becoming a lot easier now. So, let's talk about a bit of gaming now.
Yes, I'm still a gamer, and will probably forever be a gamer.
But last year I got the Wii U Deluxe edition, it's really good, very powerful, and as usual, creative. The graphics is definitely a lot better compared to the Wii, as a matter of fact it is somewhat better than both the 360 and PS3, and the gamepad is surprisingly good too, if you were to game on it while your mom, pops, or siblings wanna hog the TV. Speaking of TV, it does have a button where you can control your TV, change channels, turn up or down the volume, and power on or off your TV/satellite, that's a real cool option they threw in there. Also you can browse on the web, YouTube, and Nintendo TVii (which I haven't tried yet), and listen to music on Amazon, which I really don't recommend if you already have iTunes or any other player.
What's also neat is you can set up your own password if you were to log onto your Mii, which I already set mine.
But regardless, you can still play online for free, and let's not forget the famous Nintendo's, eShop (even though I haven't really bought anything there). :> Oh, and did I forget that you can also look around in the Miiverse? Yes, there is a community, and it is huge
, a lot friendlier compared to the 360 and PS3. You can either type out your post, or write it up on your gamepad; though if you keep an eye out, there will be some gamers that can doodle up some nice pics, it's really cool. Not only that you have the option to hand out advices/tips throughout a game, though you have to click on the, "Spoilers," button otherwise Nintendo will get onto you and delete your post, that happened to me once. x.=.x Overall, the Wii U is a real cool system, definitely worth checking out. And Nintendo, if you're reading this, keep it up if you're gonna work on another system in the near future!
To sum things up now, I have been a real busy fellow, college's going nice and smoothy, guitar playing's still improving, and gaming's coming along nicely, I also think Microsoft and Sony don't have the creativity compared to Nintendo, sorry guys, you may have the awesome graphics idea, but where's the creativity? See you guys later, and keep heavy metal going! \m/
